Tunisian Baccalaureate Examination

The Tunisian Baccalaureate (In French: Examen National du Baccalaureat) was formed in 1891. The Tunisia Baccalaureate is a standardized test required in order to gain admission into the university-level studies in Tunisia. The Tunisian baccalaureate is a school leaving as well as higher education entrance exam.  The Baccalaureate is provided in a single bilingual French-Arabic language.

Eligibility Criteria: Students who have completed their secondary education are eligible to undertake the Baccalaureate exam for entry into the higher education institutions in Tunisia. Students must be 19 years of age to appear for the examination.

Certificate Awarded: Students who pass the Baccalaureate exam are awarded the Diplome du Baccalaureat.

Dates and Deadlines: The Baccalaureate exam in Tunisia is held in early June, and the results are declared in the last week of June. 
Students who do not pass the examination can appear for the retest that is held in late June and the results are declared in July. 

Exam Pattern: This exam is conducted in 6 subjects. The examination has 2 sessions of written tests in all subject areas- the first session is known as primary and the second session is known as control session. Students with special needs have a special version of the baccalaureate exam.
